Many club owners have not been
satisfied with the performance of lithium based, Multi-Purpose
Super White grease, for the lubrication of their machines. It goes
on white, but quickly turns a dark messy black that has a
propensity to get on members clothing.
Research was conducted via calls to
a number of commercial grease manufacturers, looking for a better
grease. Several commercial grease compositions were purchased and
tested on the hydraulic cylinder mounting pins.
One Lubricant stood out and
was throughly evaluated and determined to perform
well.
- It is white in color.
- As it wears it turns a light gray color
- NOT messy black.
- It has high adhesion and does not
squeeze out.
- It performs for 4-6 months lubricating
the hydraulic cylinder pins. (This period
depends on membership usage of equipment)
An extract of the product description says:
"This tacky, adhesive, highly water resistant, USDA
authorized* Class H-1 grease is designed for applications subjected
to chemically treated water, heat and steam. For all types of
medium to slow speed bearings, open gears and hydrostatic cooker
chains."
